If you're lucky enough to attend the Super Bowlthis year between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles to cap the NFL's season, bring your wallet if you have an appetite for beer and copious amounts of food. According to executive chef Sean Kavanaugh, his team at State Farm Stadium in Glendal, Arizona, has been working on the Super Bowl menu since the end of the 2022 season.

And with the help of local vendors, this year's Super Bowl will offer some of Arizona's favorite offerings.

A few years ago at Atlanta's Mercedes Benz Stadium for Super Bowl LIII, concessions prices wereincredibly affordable, but that was before inflation and the soaring cost of food. You'll get a generous helping of food this year at Super Bowl LVII with asmorgasbord of choices, but it won't be cheap.

We've included some of that information, a few tweets from media at the big game andwhat you can expect to spend at your own Super Bowl parties, too.

Local food is the headliner

I absolutely adored talking with Lola Olivares. She’s the owner of “Lola’s Tacos”??
Lola was born in Tijuana, Mexico & opened her food truck during the pandemic. Now she’s over the moon to be able to share the food she grew up eating with @AZCardinals fans!???? @Sports360AZ pic.twitter.com/w45S2Q2TFt

Lola’s Tacos will be one of the "local" eateries available at the Super Bowl andLola Olivares' food offerings are available every home game for the Arizona Cardinals. Olivares was taught how to cook by her grandparents according to interviews. Her restaurant's specialty is various tacos, but Olivares has a special drink menu for Sunday as well. Being a vendor at the Super Bowl is expected to be noteworthy for her business.

Reviewing the food at State Farm Stadium for the Super Bowl!

first up: “Big AZ Dog”

not bad, but would be too sloppy to eat in the middle of the game while you’re screaming for Jonathan Gannon to blitz more. pic.twitter.com/VFpZakYcDi

If you're into game-day dogs, the "Big AZ Hot Dog" is available for $15. If you want fries and a drink to go alongside, be prepared to break two $20s. The foot long hot dog comes covered with cheese and chili, or any additional condiments of your preference.

Take a gander at the pizza box nachos with prime rib, one of several stadium-specific food options at the Super Bowl. This costs $23 according to ABC15 and appears to comfortably feed at least two.

There's always the gameday staple "budget" options too, the run-of-the-mill burgers, chicken finger baskets or hot dogs. Admittedly, $9 for a side order of fries sounds incredibly expensive. We haven't seen the cost of the patented "souvenir cup" refillable soda offered at every football venue, but given these other price points, we would imagine it's 30% more than you would usually pay.

Here are the "loaded dirty fries", which appear to be a concoction of fries with cheese, chives, tomatoes, pork and a pickle. This is a generous helping of food for $12. Here's what The Philly Voice had to say about the loaded dirty fries: "The fries were crunchy, making that first bite oh-so good. They were smaller fries, but that's actually a plus, making them easier to eat with a fork. The fries were topped with mild salsa, melted cheese chopped peppers and cilantro. What I liked was that there wasn'ttoo muchcheese, which could lead to a super messy situation."

Inflation's effect on Super Bowl food offerings

"Avocados are about 20% cheaper than they were at this time last year and chicken wings are down about 22%."

The cost of Super Bowl isn't quite as high for consumers in 2023 as it was in 2020, but the numbers are similar. Via GoBankingRates.com and Statista,U.S. consumers "are expected to spend a total of $16.5 billion on food, drinks and other items Sunday", which is $2 billion more than last year. The same study indicates the cost of chicken wingsand guacamole has actually come down in price for 2023. So for any of you entertaining folks at your home or business on Super Bowl Sunday, wings, chips and dip might be solid buys.
